Happy Hanukkah

Our 4th stop on our travels around the world was in Israel. We learned about Hanukkah and that some of our friends in our class celebrate this holiday!
In Israel we learned:
-they celebrate Hannukkah
-they play dreidel games
-they eat potato latkes
-a menorah is light for 8 days, a new candle each day
-the children get gold coins called gelt

We created a hand print menorah to remember our travels to Israel
