We are WRITERS!!

We have opened up our writing center in the Octopus Room and many amazing creations are starting to pop up, lots of letter writing practice, name writing, and even drawing shapes!
One of the other ways that we work on writing together is during journal time. You sent in those notebooks and we plan on filling them up!
Some of the children are simply working on following a multi step direction, others are taking that to the next step and learning to write the first letter of the word, and finally the end result is invented spelling and writing the sounds they hear in the words they are trying to write.
So far we have done "I like _____" for our favorite color, and we also completed our own version of Pete the Cat "oh no.....stepped in...."
