It is so important to connect back to the books that we are reading, by creating our own class books. You will see many of these copies coming home; like the Octopus Class, Octopus Class what do you see book that was similar to Brown Bear, Brown Bear. This supports emergent reading, peer/name recognition, name writing, and print that carries meaning.
This week and next we will be exploring Eric Litwin's Pete the Cat I love my white shoes, and 4 groovy buttons. We will make our own class story call "We love our shoes!" Here are some of the shoes and faces :)
