Dinosaur, Dinosaur stomp the ground....
This dramatic play set up has been so great to watch them explore and ROAR!
They have found many dinosaurs, watched them "hatch," dressed up, stomped, and roared their way through last week!

Apple tasting
It has been such a busy month that I COMPLETELY forgot to post our apple tasting pictures!
We first listened to the story "Little Mouse's Big Secret," and figured out his secret was an apple tree and that secrets are better when they are shared!
We got to taste three apples: red, green, and yellow. We talked about lots of ways to describe the apple other than "its good." Some of the words were "juicy, sour, crunchy, yucky, and sweet!" After tasting, 1 apple had to be the favorite. For the morning class, more friends liked Green, and the afternoon class color went to yellow.
We used the smart board to select our name and apple color and graph. After graphing we glued our favorite color apple into our journals.
It was a yummy day!

dinosaur, dinosaur
We have switch themes! For the next two weeks, we will be traveling back in time to explore the dinosaur era :)
We will learn many new tricky dinosaur names, become a paleontologist and dig for dinosaur bones, even get to stomp around dressed like a dinosaur!
We will:
-explore the letters D and J
-cut out eggs for baby dinosaurs to hatch from
-sorting dinosaurs by color or dinosaur
-learning dinosaur names
-life cycle of a dinosaur
-roll and stomp (roll dice and stomp that number)
-triceratoss (toss rings onto the horns)
