colors, colors, colors

Next week, we will continue to "dive into" colors in preschool. We will listen to the story, "Bear Sees Colors," By Karma Wilson, start academic choice which will be exploring colors (selection of 4 activities for the children to pick, work cooperatively, complete an activity for allotted time).
This week we will:
-make a pattern shape hat
-work in our journals for the FIRST TIME (each month I will have a paper to track the progress of name writing, counting/writing numbers, creating it in a 10 frame, and drawing representational picture)
-literacy chart with learning names of friends in our class
-introduction of play dough
-watercolor painting of names
-guided discovery of the writing center
-guided discovery of the reading center (our classroom is almost completely open)
