Bakery Theme

This whole theme is so much fun, and so much learning. We will learn how to bake three different desserts: cookies, brownies, and pancakes. We are still working on building up to our Chicka, Chicka, Boom, Boom party by learning 3 more letters. Bakery theme lends itself to be very fine motor oriented (learning to draw shapes, journal writing, and cutting complex shapes like hearts). During play in the classroom the children will explore being bakers, playing in cake mix with many fruit toppings, painting cookies, and cupcakes, and using their sense of touch to sort soft and hard "cupcakes" in science. Three new amazing stories, and lots of counting with cookies!
