The children walked in saying they could "smell" the ingredients. To say that they were excited was an understatement :)
When it was finally cookie time they got to help me scoop, pour, stir, and mix to create the dough. We talked about the ingredients, the colors, the smells, the names, and what it would do to the cookies.
The children got to scoop their own portion of the dough, add the chips or sprinkles (or both) to their cookie, and then naturally the hard part (the oven) was my job!
After the cooked, and the real good smell filled the air it was time to eat.
Needless to say, you all have professional bakers on your hands, as well as cookie monsters!
