Grocery Store

We have stocked the shelves with authentic material (thank you for all the boxes) so our Octopus Grocery Store can be open for business. We will learn about the value of coins with a "funny money" song and matching coins. We will be doing a lot of shared writing making grocery lists, and creating new foods for a literacy chart.
We will be exploring our senses, starting with our ears/hearing. In science the children can shake different bottles to sort sounds by loud and quiet, reading books about hearing, and sorting opposite pictures.
We will really work out fine motor skills painting with many different types of materials, cutting simple and complex shapes, and lots of practice writing words and letters.
