Russia
With only two more flights around the world, we ended up in Russia. We learned:
-Babushka brings the children presents
-Christmas is celebrated on January 7th.
-The Christmas tree is called a Yelka
-The Nutcracker Ballet began there
We made Nutcrackers to remember our time in Russia.

Holland
Our last stop on our travels is to Holland.
We learned:
-After Christmas service there is a feast.
-The decorate with pine cones and frosted bells
-Santa Claus is called Saint Nicholas
-They sing Christmas carols
We filled our shoes with presents we would like for St. Nicholas to bring us.

China
We traveled to China. We learned about the Chinese New year, and Spring festival.
-The spring festival lasts for 15 days, it is the longest holiday
-The date changes every year (this year it is 2/9/19)
-The Chinese New year celebrates the animal zodiac and a new animal each year. This year is the year of the Pig
-Children often receive red envelopes
We made a lantern to remember our time in China.
