Welcome to the farm

 We did our first classroom change of the year to fall, farm, and fire safety. We are exploring all the different animals that can be found on the farm, apples, pumpkins, and how to stay safe when it comes to fires.

Pete the cat math game

 We dove into addition and subtraction with a Pete the cat button game. Our story this week is Pete the cat and his 4 groovy buttons. Our game was a shirt and buttons. The children had to roll and put on (add) buttons, and then roll and take off (subtract) buttons after to "pop" them off. This worked on adding, rote counting, subitizing, and subtraction.

Self portraits

 We will create self portraits many times during the year as we learn how to draw representational pictures. Our journals will document that growth. We talked alot about the parts that are needed to create a person, and then tried it ourself!

Brown Bear Brown Bear color sort

 Today preschool was a yummy place-we have been reading Brown Bear, Brown Bear what do you see? Today we sorted by color, and matching characters from our story using M&M's, we counted which one had the most/least with the colors, and of course got to eat the M&M's (if they wanted too).
