Pizza Pizza

The new "normal"

The PM class welcomed 2 high school students into our classroom to work with them, while they learn how to become teachers. Each day we have a new virtual activity that we do with Miss Maddie, and Miss Kora

Pizza Patterns

We created pizza patterns using 2 of our favorite toppings

Shape pizza

We have been working on so many different things during our pizza theme: learning to count a variety of different numbers/toppings, writing many different ways from taking pizza orders to the type of pizza we want to eat, graphing favorite toppings, and lots of pizza shapes.

We created our own shape pizzas, and then had to count how many of each shape we put on our pizzas!

Celebrating our Octopus Friends

Each child the Octopus Class is unique and I love when we get to celebrate the things that make us different. The children in the PM class got to celebrate and learn about our friend Josie. Epilepsy effects many people in different ways, and we learned some facts about Epilepsy, and decorate a pumpkin to celebrate the many things we love about our friend Josie, and how to help keep her safe!

What is your favorite pizza?

We worked in our journals to create the ultimate favorite pizza. Some children are working on simply following a 2 step direction, and some children are working on learning to write words! Journal work is so important to build the foundation of become a writer! We had many different kinds of pizzas from fruit pizza, rainbow pizzas, green purple pink and even good old cheese!

Pizza Please!

We have changed themes to pizza. We will explore pizza creations, lots of new vocabulary with toppings, writing opportunities, math and shape knowledge for pizza creations, and even ending our theme with creating pizzas we can eat :)

Science allows the children to create spin art creations while exploring colors, light table and blocks have new cars, and legos, and dramatic play and sensory table include a yummy pizza shop with take out and dine in options!
