In to the tub you go.....octopus class

Each week, we read the same book with the hopes of emergent story reading, comprehension of the story, following predictable print, and a chance to connect to the children some way.

Last week we read "Mrs. Wishy Washy," and the children acted it out Thursday (see seesaw) and created a class book where they got in the tub!

Fall Farm and Fire safety

We have changed themes for the first time this year. We are going to be exploring the farm, fall, and fire safety for three weeks. During this time we will learn about many animals, apples, leaves, pumpkins, and all things fire safety. 

Pete the Cat: Groovy Button Math

We are working on addition and subtraction (and they dont even know it!) Today we had our very own Pete the Cat shirt, and we added and subtracted buttons by roll a die, and putting on that number of buttons! Math and literacy working together!
