Feliz Navidad from Mexico

Day two of our travels was to another warm climate-Mexico. We learned that:

1. They celebrate Christmas for 9 days.

2. The three kings bring gifts in Mexico

3. They celebrate with pinatas

4. The poinsettia comes from Mexico.

5. Feliz Navidad means Merry Christmas.

To remember our time we made a poinsettia and sang Feliz Navidad.

Good day mate' welcome to Australia

Today we started our travels around the world to learn about different countries, cultures, and how some people might celebrate the holidays.

We started with Australia.

1. Santa arrives on a surf board

2. Children leave Santa lemonade and cake.

3.  Christmas happens in the summer.

4. Children hunt for golden beetles.

5. Santa leaves presents in a pillow case or at a table

We made a surf board to remember our time in Australia.

DINO ROAAAAARRRRR

Making class books is one of our favorite things we do in the Octopus class. It is so fun to connect our pictures with similar print in the stories we are reading. Naturally that means its time to turn into dinos and give a big ROAR!
