How tall is the Octopus Class? Measuring with snowflakes (AM)

 We work on math and measuring with non standard units in a variety of ways. This first way is with snowflakes. We practice rote counting, measuring each friend, and then create a class book to work on name writing and number writing. Math is fun :)

Bring on the snow

 We it snows outside and we cant go play-we bring the fun indoors. Snow inside the sensory table.

Snowmen, and snowflakes...oh my! (PM)

  We are getting into the full winter theme by making snowflakes, and snowmen to add to our block center. Any chance I can get to have the children help me with my crazy craft ideas I do! Today they had a snowman body with their face on it, and needed to make him or her look "fancy." We added hats, and bows, arms, and buttons. The perfect addition to our block center!

Octopi is cold outside...

 This is my least favorite season, personally, but one of top favorite themes in the classroom. Winter is coming, and winter is here! We will ice skate, build snowmen, have a snowball fight, practice our hockey skills, and more!
