Memory match

We played memory farm edition. We had to find matches of momma animals to their babies. Before the game began we enjoyed a classic story "Are you my mother?"

Apple Tasting

We have begun our exploration into letters, starting with the letter A which fell perfectly with the fall and farm theme. We tasted apples, red, green, and yellow-many were fans of all three but we had to select our favorite one. Each child picked their favorite, graphed that choice, and then put their apple in their journal.

Our classroom has made the first of many changes. We will be exploring with fall, farm, and fire safety. We explore learning about many animals, apple tasting, pumpkin carving, and even STEM with building barns.

Crayon Man

We worked on cutting, and creating by making a crayon man. The children picked their favorite color, cut out the rectangle, and added the body parts (crazy arms and legs and all!)

Pete the Cat: groovy button game

Math and Literacy connected together is so much fun. All week, we have read Pete the Cat: 4 groovy buttons. Ending this week, we played a Pete the cat game. The children rolled the die, had to put on that number of buttons, then just like the stop "pop" them off by rolling and removing.

Sea creatures

We created play dough sea creatures. This was such a fun sensory experience that not only allowed us to create with play dough but to work on number recognition and rote counting.
