We made it! We learned all the letters, sounds they make, words that begin with that letter, created coconut tree hats, letter necklace, shared our letters with each other, and even how to write words using those letters. What a better way to celebrate than taking home our ABC scrap books, making a coconut tree we can eat (bananas and apples), enjoying letter items people brought to share, and creating many fun letter projects (necklaces, hats, stamp matching). It is such a fun day!

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Celebration (AM)

Good bye butterlfies
The day has come that we had to release our butterflies. Some of the butterflies even let us hold them before they flew off and away (migrating-we learned about this during one of our stories The Very Impatient Caterpillar).
Spring and summer
We have one final theme change for the year; spring and summer. We have had so many exciting things growing the Octopus Class, from flowers to butterflies. We have celebrated many amazing things World Down Syndrome day and Autism Awareness. We will have 3 more celebrations before the year is done, chicka chicka boom boom party, beach day, and of course our end of the year party.
We will learn about many things that you can find during the summer time, create an outdoor oasis (kids cut all the stars for our night time sky), and learn about many spring and summer time animals.
