Brownies (PM)

We made brownies together, and it was a very yummy day. The children all poured in ingredients, stirred, and even ate the brownies. Preschool is a yummy place! This day we also had our reading challenge celebration and watched some of our favorite books on the "big screen."

We made brownies together, and it was a very yummy day. The children all poured in ingredients, stirred, and even ate the brownies. Preschool is a yummy place! This day we also had our reading challenge celebration and watched some of our favorite books on the "big screen."

Down around the corner at the Bakery shop

We have changed to the bakery. This yummy theme will also us to explore how to write lots of reciepes for some of our favorite treats, engage in baking experiences for brownies and cookies, and do lots of different sorting activities (shapes, bakery foods, size of cakes).
We will do many math activities with shapes, counting "chips" and sorting. We will also explore in science one of our five senses; sense of touch by sorting rough and smooth "cupcakes."

Winter wonderland

This is my favorite theme to explore with the children. I am not a snow fan, but I love when it snows outside and the children get to bring the snow inside to play with. Snowball fights, ice skating, and building snowmen are all apart of the classroom. We do lots of journal entries, fine motor cutting to create snowflakes, and learning about even more letters!
