We practiced sorting (and matching) by color with skittles and train! The children have been asked to do this yummy sorting before, with connection to our Brown Bear characters, and sorting with M&M's.
Concepts are much more fun to learn and practice with food/candy!

Spiders and Room on the Broom! (PM)
We finished up our first nonfiction/fiction unit by studying spiders. We created a K/L chart (know/learned) by writing down what we knew about spiders and then what we learned after reading an information/nonfiction story about spiders.
We turned into spiders ourselves now that we knew more facts about them. Spiders have 8 legs and so did we (well 10 counting all legs!)
Then to celebrate and send off to an amazing Halloween night, we listened too, and watched one of my favorite Halloween stories; Room on the Broom!
